SceneView2 intepentent BusVolume ControlSurfaceDefinitions

Postby Meistermacher » Sun Apr 26, 2015 11:27 am

Hi Mike,

Thanks for SceneView2. A great tool to build my own GUI.

One thing is outstanding: Bus Volume independent from Rack.

But how can I address it in MyControlSurfaceDefinitions independent from Rack BusVolume (Action / Update)?

Kind Regards
Gert

I don't think you can assign them in Control Surface Definitions, but:
You CAN assign midi automation to the Meter Bridge faders on the SceneView via the Rack Editor:
===> RACK EDITOR - MIDI Automation - ADD... BUS "BUS #" VOLUME ADJUST <===
You can assign each BUS a CC#.
Hope this helps.

Hi Mr Beverage,

Thanks for the hint. But it´s not working as it should. You have only incomming Midi but not sending to Midi Out. When you have attached a BCF2000, Forte does not sync with the device.

What I need in “MyControlSurfaceDefinitions.xml” is a command like this:

<Action Action="VolumeAdjust.1" Kind="CONTROL" Ch="2" Param1="120"/>
<Update Action="VolumeAdjust.1" Kind="CONTROL" Ch="2" Param1="120"/>

And it must be independent to "Bus.Volume.1"!

Just to clarify: the rack editor thing works, the adjust input works from a fader box, but the flying faders update doesn't?

The verb defined for bus adjust is Bus.VolumeAdjust.x (where x is the bus #)

Please see if that works.
