click track to drummer

Postby snowbird122 » Sun Apr 27, 2014 5:15 pm

I need to get a click track to our drummer. Unfortunately, I can't find a single metronome VST that works with Forte. The metronome previously mentioned on this board (Tap 1.2 : http://homepage.ntlworld.com/jez.price/effects.htm) is ignored by Forte. It appears that I'm going to have to record a metronome and play it back as a sample track. Is there a better way?

You could use energyXT as a plugin and use it's click.
Or rewire REAPER into forte
Lenovo Z500, quad core i7 3632QM, 16GB 1600MHz DDR3, RME BabyFace, Samsung EVO SSD x2, forte 4, Kawai ES100, Kurzweil PC2, VB3, Alchemy, Kontakt 5, Omnisphere 2, Diva, ZebraHZ, Bazille, Pianoteq 5 Standard, Falcon, various effects

Use one of the free/cheap synths with an arpeggiator? Or just another instance on (for example) FM8?

Hi snowbird122,
I`m a drummer and use a free drum mashine like Tatafull. You are able to program every kind of meter, even odd meters (3/4, 5/4). With different click sounds on beat one you (or your drummer) always know when the rest of the band are not so trained in timing ;-)
