Optimizing a PC for "pure Forte usage"

Postby mschnell » Sun Nov 17, 2013 5:47 am

Hi Experts,

I do know that "Brainspawn is not a system integrator", but maybe somebody at BrainSpawn's or a knowledgeable user might be able to provide hints or maybe a (link to a) document to help with tuning a PC box for exclusive "embedded" usage of Forte. Thus for "realtime performance" and "security" priority. I suppose Windows can be tuned by setting certain parameters and by not starting certain System Services and scheduled "standard" programs, reducing Graphic performance, ....

The system in question is an Intel i7 4 core (8 Thread) Motherboard with 16 GByte RAM and a 250 GByte SSD running Windows 7.

(I did not yet consider using "Windows 7 embedded" which does exist, but might be a problem with licensing )

Thanks for any tops and tricks
-Michael
