Ivory Pianos and Galaxy vintage D

Postby mal7896 » Thu Nov 15, 2012 1:36 am

Does anyone know if Ivory Pianos and Galaxy Vintage D (in Kontakt 5) will run happily in Forte?
I recall reading a long while ago that Ivory pianos had issues...

thanks

If you are looking for a high end piano VST, I can absolutely recommend the VSL Imperial. You need a dongle but it sounds awsome and works perfectly with forte.

sounds good, but this one is huge, right? and a dongle, its own player...

i am also musing about getting galaxy II or the vintage D since it's plain kontakt, no dongle. anybody got experience with galaxy? playability is most important for me, currently using Alicia's keys which plays very nicely, but a higher end sound than her very peculiar C3 neo would be welcome. if thomas had only sampled a better piano it would be perfect...

I takes up 16,6GB for one playing position (I'm just using the player position for size reasons). I tried some VSTs online (Ivory II as well) and had Garritan Steinway before. VSL Imperial is ahead of these imho. Just the dongle is really annoying. One day I've got to find a way to build it inside of my laptop :D

And yes, it's using its own player, but it's really working great for me (i7 quad 2,2GHz, SSD sample drive, RME babyface at 96 samples).

Ivory is working perfectly
Galaxy I don't know, but I have many Kontakt 5 library (Scarabee, Vintage Organ, ...) that are running fine, so my guess is yes

yes, kontakt ist reliable in Forte. normally, if a library has problems it has them in all VST hosts.
