Sysex ouput of track names

Postby ChristianRad » Tue Jan 10, 2012 3:03 am

Hey out there,

what I'm now trying is, using the Lemurapp for the iPad in combination with forte.
I downloaded a template for lemur, which is called Mackie Control. This template works like a charm with logic and cubase. Even the tracknames are displayed.

Now I want to know, if forte supports showing track names.
I used the preset, which is included in forte control surfaces, to use my ipad with lemur as a mackie control. I can use the faders to control Bus-Volumes, but there are no track / rack names shown.

Does forte send sysex, when opening a rackfile, including tracknames, so normally a mackie control would show them on the display?

Thanks,
Chris

Hey,

I checked now by myself with MIDI-OX. It seems that forte is not sending any SYSEX Data. So, probably I need EHCo for that?!

Hi

As far as I know, forte doesn't send track names as sysex data. It's a good idea though. You should submit it on the "uservoice" wishlist.

Dirk
Life would be much easier if I had the source code.

Hey people,

I started using Forte again. Mainstage is still too buggy. So I'll give Forte a shot again.

As fas as I know, there are still no news on sending track names. On Mainstage on patch change Mainstage sends a pre-created sysex file, which contains the track names of the next patch and sends it to the iPad.
Is there a chance, to realize that in Forte too? I don't know, if there is a tool for that... maybe I need EHCo?
