Tascam MKII & Hipersonic

Postby calegher » Tue Apr 19, 2011 10:04 am

Hello All,
Thank you in advance for your help and I apologize for my bad English.
I'll be right down to it ...
I have Forte ensemble 2.2.18 I use to manage scenes, live tracks etc. ...
I’m using two USB master keyboard (Axiom 61Pro and Fatar vk88-plus).
During a live performance Forte crashed.
1.By the "Stress Test" I saw that the problem lies in the plug-in "Hipersonic 2". Do you have tips or should I remove the plugin and replace it with another?
2. when Forte crashes it's impossible to kill the service forte.exe unless you restart the computer or wait 5 min. During a live performance that's not good.
Is there a way to force the closure of forte.exe Thanks for your replay

Hi Marco,

I don`t understand why you can`t kill the forte.exe process. For me in case of any hang-ups it works without any problem.
You can also try to kill the process with a batch script or from a console window (Start - Run - type CMD and hit return)
taskkill /IM forte.exe /F

Which OS are you using? XP or Win7?

Best regards

I'm using Win7...
I already used that way, but does not work.
Forte.exe remains as a zombie process

This process hang can happen with some USB midi interfaces. It's a driver or open handle that keeps forte from closing correctly. You can unplug the USB device which should cause forte to exit. I think the only cure is a different interface or driver.
