keyboard USB midi causing audio spikes?

Postby GarethHD » Sat Oct 16, 2010 1:36 pm

Anyone else had this as a potential problem?
two midi inputs, one on Delta 1010 (PCI) soundcard, second from a yamaha cp33
first off getting frequent spikes with an A-B on an extender. Removed extender problem mostly dissappeared but still happening occasionally (but much harder to repeat)
it might not be the USB of course...
cheers

Hi

Bad drivers can cause DPC latency. Google for a utility called Dpc latency checker to see if your system has problems and queues up too many dpc's.

This problem might also be related to both others we already discussed. All three symptoms point to a low-level hardware problem imo, but I can be wrong of course.

Life would be much easier if I had the source code.

it may also be a combination with other drivers in your systems. power management, WLAN or ethernet port drivers are also possible culprits.
