Crashes and volume reduction due to NI VC 2A (?)

Postby evilantal » Thu Oct 20, 2016 2:28 am

I had some trouble working on a rack yesterday. Crashes and inexplicable reduction in output volume.
Sent in a bunch of crash reports.

I seemed to have traced down the problem to Native Instruments VC 2A compressor that's on the master buss of the rack.
In the beginning it seemed to work ok, but then I got lots of crashes.
Additionally, whenever VC 2A was activated the ouput volume was reduced drastically. Bypassing VC 2A restores the audio level to normal.
This is just using the factory presets of the VST, so I would expect them to behave normally.

Seems there's a problem with that plugin?

I'll contact regular support as well.

Cool!

I have a substitute plugin for it, so no meltdown level issue
