Arranger

Postby Lucien » Mon Nov 19, 2012 2:33 pm

Hi all.
I am looking for an arranger who works inside Forte.
Someone uses it?
I just need some beats that would be recalled with the scenes of forte.
All ideas are coming.

Hi,

as far as I know Energy XT will do the job as it can be loaded as a plugin into forte. Darkman, Dirk Offringa and some others have experience on this. Then I remember there was a plug called SAM! that was able to play some wave-files. Not sure if Plogue Bidule can do the job - maybe worth to have a look on this.

regards, Volker

I use a setup that VG suggested (energyXT + Sam! 2.2)...

I use EnergyXT to playback audio (WAV) backing tracks and to trigger MIDI click tracks - some of these click tracks are basic beat sequences which trigger drum sounds in Sam! 2.2. The way EnergyXT works with Forte is ideal as when you save a scene with the audio/MIDI in eXT this is saved within the scene and recalls all the information like any other scene.

Are you just looking for recommendations or do you have any specific questions? Happy to help if I can.

Thank you for your answers.

But I do not want to sequence. Energy XT is a sequencer.
I need a arranger as VArranger2: http://www.varranger.fr
But VArranger 2 can not be used inside Forte

Sorry - never used an arranger but I have found a couple of things which seem to fit the bill and should work in Forte (and includes demos);
1. - Jammer Live... Doesn't seem to have been updated in a while but should work with Forte (it is a VST)
2. - Harmony Navigator 2... Seems recommended on KVR.

Having never used an Arranger can't help I'm afriad... Hopefully someone else here may have more joy for you

Thank's DarkKman.

I tried "Jammer Pro / Jammer Live / Harmony navigator2" but, it seems they are not VST.

I'm still looking.
Any other ideas are welcome..

Hi Lucien

a little bit off-topic, but a very serious application is the Live-Styler () of the german software-engineer Norbert Stellberg. Formerly it started as a Yamaha-Arranger-simulation, but by now it can host vsti´s like forte...

Life would be much easier if I had the source code.

Thank's Embassy.
But, Dirk is right.
I tried live styler, but it does not work inside Forte.
