Minimoog 2.0

Postby Mark Kelly » Tue Jul 20, 2010 9:48 am

Anyone else notice that the minimoog V2 slows down scene update? it also makes operations like trim take ages.

cheers

I'm not using it, so can't comment. Thanks for the info though!

Could that be an authorisation issue? Are you both running forte in the same session that you used when installing the plugin? (amongst other possibilities of that kind?)

Life would be much easier if I had the source code.

MM 2.0 uses the eLicencer dongle thingy so I'm not sure if that could be it...

Hi Mark, hi Dirk,

@ Dirk: what do you mean with "same session"?

What I can say is: I use version V2.01 of Minimoog. Authorisation is also done by eLicenser. Version of forte is 2.2 build 15.2102 (means latest beta). When I change from one scene to another with only Minimoog instances inside (I didn`t want to influence the scenarion by other plugs that could lead to an increase of change - times) I see the changes at once (means: I don`t see a delay at all).

Hope this can be of some help.

Best regards, Volker

Volker, you misunderstand me. I'm talking about scene UPDATE. the scene change is fine. When I remove the minimoog from my rack scene update is so fast I don't even see an "egg timer" but with the minimoog in the rack (in fact I have two instances, lead synth and bass pedals) scene update takes around 3 seconds. It's not a big deal because I don't usually update scenes during a show, I was just wondering why it happens

Uups, this really was a misunderstanding.

But what I can tell: during testing scene change time yesterday I had to update the scenes to produce some of them for testing this and I can tell that also scene update took as good as no time for me.

Thanks for the help on this guys. I don't think it's an account problem as I only have one account on my computer and it's running XP not vista or 7.
