Re: External controller

Have you looked into the Behringer BCR2000 or BCF2000? It seems that it's a controller that you can use to control scenes, instrument levels and VSTs parameters and so forth...

Re: Progressive Rock and Saga Band Fans

Thank you Claudio. I totally agree with you. When I learned about Forte, I had different VSTs that I wish I could use real time to play complex stuff so I bought not even knowing that I would work as advertised so when I bought it, I decided to post videos using it so people could say "oh yeah ...

Progressive Rock and Saga Band Fans

I purshased Forte with the goal of playing songs that had a lot of sound layering, split keyboards, sequencers, minimoogs leads and basses and the ability to quickly go from one configuration to another. Forte has turned out to be more than appropriate for the task. For anyone who wonders if Forte c...

CS-80 Arturia Question...

First of all, Forte is just awesome! I have 3 instances of CS-80 on a Scene. I want the expression pedal cc#11 to control the sequencer on/off button on CS-80#3 only on that scene. When I got the the next scene I want Forte to forget that. Instead Forte keeps that same setup for all scenes and forge...

Re: How to get started with Forte

Great Gordon! Glad that was helpfull. Something I discovered while learning Forte (which I am still doing...) is that I havnt had to do a scene change yet during a song. I thought that you would need a Scene for the intro, verses, chorus, etc... Instead, I select and de select instruments via channe...

Re: How to get started with Forte

Hi, I am not at all a Forte genius but here is a video I made where I use Forte to play one of the keyboardists part of a progressive rock song by Saga. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5aeQBmUJbr0&feature=channel_page If you understand how to create a rack and load instruments, then you have half...

Re: YouTube Video Playing Forte Live with 2 Midi Keyboards

Here is another video for a different song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTuVddpb248 In this song I have two sustain pedals and one expression. The axiom uses the sustain pedal for the "glide" on the minimoog and to activate the sequencer with the expression pedal on the cs-80. The KX8 u...

YouTube Video Playing Forte Live with 2 Midi Keyboards

On this video I use 2 midi keyboards to play a Saga song "Don't Be Late". The soft synths used are Arturias' CS-80, Moog Modular, Minimoog and Sample Tank's Sample Moog (Polymoog Patch). When I set up the rack I set different instruments layers and splits on different midi channels. When c...

OBX-Pro Problem

I have the OBX-Pro on Forte running along side the CS80, Sample Moog, Minimoog from Arturia. I have set up different channels to transmit to the different VSTs. So, for example, if obx is on channell 1 and CS80 on 2 and Sample Moog on 3 and Minimoog on 4 when I switch channell on the midi controller...

Re: Arturia Minimoog causes Forte to crash completely

Well that`s interesting. I can confirm that the Mahogany skin (on my system) was causing the crash. Now it works flawlessly. Really a neat program. I can´t recommended enough.

Re: Arturia Minimoog causes Forte to crash completely

Another thing to try is to enable all CPUs in Windows, but disable it in Forte itself (preferences screen). Uncheck "Use All Available CPUs". That said, I have MM 1.6 and have not seen any of these symptoms. I care alot about this plug, so if anyone else can repro that, please do so. Fina...

Re: Arturia Minimoog causes Forte to crash completely

The only issue I have is that when I open the Minimoog console several times the Frote program crashes. It does happen unless I open the console. I really love Forte. Itls an incredible program. It's very powerfull. I hope the cause of this is found because I want to use it live. I am hesitating at ...

Re: Arturia Minimoog causes Forte to crash completely

How do you turn off the other CPU? I have not done anything to the Windows.ini file. Has anyone gotten back to you about the error?. I also have the CS-80 and the Modular Moog and those are very stable. Minimoog is the only one that gives me the headache. And it's too bad, it's probably my favorite ...
