Scene pool select

This may be a stupid question but I can't figure out how to make a scene active in Set List Manager without creating a song. in Forte 2 I could double click on a scene and it would be active. I can't seem to do this in F3. What am I missing?

Re: Viewing lead sheets

Lead sheets are words and chords and sometimes a melody line. So I can link a PPT slide to a song? Can you give some details please?

Viewing lead sheets

Anyone know of an integrated way to view lead sheets using Forte - maybe a VST? I'd like to be able to generate a set list with song names (I do this now) but would also like to have the ability to view the lead sheets on my PC monitor instead of Scene View. I know I can do it with an external progr...

midi note repeat

I'd like to be able to hold a note on one of my keyboard controllers and have the note go on and off at a programmed rate, just like I was pressing and releasing the key. I have a particular song that we play live that starts out this way and I need three hands to play it and have to get the note on...

Re: Visual Metronome?

Count me in. I'd like to have a way to enter in a tempo when creating a song and have a small blinky light somewhere on the screen just to get the song started at approximately the right speed. My band has a tendency to start songs too fast. We have been using a blinky light metronome that our sound...

Re: Changing Hardware with Performance Edition?

FWIW, I have experienced USB ports being enumerated in different order randomly upon bootup in Windows 7. I have 2 devices that are MIDI/USB. When my two keyboards are playing the wrong patches when forte is started, I look in the MIDI port mapping and they are in a different order. The only way I c...

Re: Laptop stand

Search ebay for this:

Portable Mixer Mount Hardware Studio Stand Table
or this link:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?VI ... 0365000196

It costs less than $40 delivered and works well for me.

Re: Zoom B2.1u USB audio input

Dirk, Thanks for the reply. It shows up in the audio options. That's a bummer that I can only have one ASIO device. If I buy a device that has multiple inputs and outputs, then can I have multiple instances in my rack of "audio Input" and assign seperate hardware inputs to each "audio...

Zoom B2.1u USB audio input

Zoom ships a USB audio driver (ASIO) with their USB enabled effects pedals. They ship Cubase with it. I also tried it with Waveosaur and it worked. Is there a way to get the USB effects pedal to show up as one of the audio input choices in forte?

midilearn help please

If I use midilearn and save the scene is that learning saved with the scene? I can't seem to get forte to do that. It learns OK but when I select another scene and reselect the scene with the learn again the learning is forgotten. Any ideas? BTW 2.0 build 116.2076

Re: brainspawn audio input in 2.0

I found the culprit. In "Audio Options" the "Sample Rate" was set to 44100. When I set it to 48000 it listed two additional drivers - one being the Creative ASIO driver. I selected that one. Then I tried to delete the bus but it said I couldn't delete it because it was being used...

I didn't change anything other than running 2.0 instead of 1.6. I'll compare all of the audio settings I can find and let you know if I find any differences.

I tried it again and noticed that in the pulldown selection of inputs that the 1.6 enumeration has a lot of entries - maybe a dozen - and the 2.0 has 3. Maybe a clue?

Re: brainspawn audio input in 2.0

If you can't select a scene then how do you review the ones you have previously created to find the right one for a particular song? I use it all the time because I have lots of scenes and sometimes I'll try a number of scenes to get just the right sounds for a song. What I noticed that bothered me ...

brainspawn audio input in 2.0

I'm now running 2.0 build 116.2076. When I insert the audio Input as an instrument. When I select an input option other than no device, the audio is there for a fraction of a second and then goes away. I tried it again with 1.6 and it works fine - the audio is there, the meters work and the effects ...

Seperate Busses on SB Audigy ZS

Have been gigging with Forte for a long time now and like it a lot. I use two midi control keyboards and would now like to separate the outputs of each. I assigned each of them to a bus and the volume display on each bus seems to correspond OK. I have each bus assigned to an output pair for the Audi...

Entering data into a bus insert

I am trying to use a VST filter called gflux. It requires entering in data - such as the frequency for an LFO. I clicked the radio button in the options to disable the hotkeys but it seems as though the hotkeys are still enabled because when I press a 2 it goes to scene 2. What am I doing wrong? Tha...

Ni Kontakt 2 / First Call Horns

First Call Horns uses NI Kontakt Player as it's sample player. I have been using it for a year or so. They recently updated it to use NI Kontakt Player 2. I removed the old Kontakt Player instruments in my forte rack and trimmed. Then installed the new player and put two instruments back in. I can't...
