Re: Instrument consoles changing with scenes

Sorry guys, I can't make it until the end of the next week. Preparing for a concert and having rehearsal at the weekend. But I don't forget the little "how-to" on Remote Control and Automap. I promise :-)

Re: Instrument consoles changing with scenes

Sorry for writing so late. I was moving and was therefore somehow "unavailable". As evilantal has mentioned he helped me working on a solution for full parameter control on a novation remote device using automap and BCRC. I will write a little article about it as soon as I will find time (...

Alright, yamus. Even if you are not the great MikeG, your lines were very helpful :-) I totally agree with you that it is just a cosmetic thing. And perhaps I leave it like it is. If MikeG sees it, he might react. But if not ... also not a problem :-) Thanks for all the help again! Never stop the mu...

Re: Plugin-Manager shows plugins under "ignored files" which don't exist anymore or have a different path than vst folde

Thanks for all your answers. The one of yamus was the one to go. It was as simple as editing a html-document. It really seems to be a bug. Doing a full rescan, the "ignore"-list is empty at first. But re-opening Forte, there are again the "old" ignored-entries. Are you "our&...

Re: Plugin-Manager shows plugins under "ignored files" which don't exist anymore or have a different path than vst folde

I checked this already. There is only one folder defined in the folder list. Luckily, this "behaviour" only appears in the ignored plugins tab. But still, it is strange ...

Re: Plugin-Manager shows plugins under "ignored files" which don't exist anymore or have a different path than vst folde

No, I just delete them and do a restart of the program. Then the ghost-plugins appear again in the "Ignored List". Nothing major. But very confusing. The function of deleting them doesn't seem to work.

Re: Plugin-Manager shows plugins under "ignored files" which don't exist anymore or have a different path than vst folde

Right, I could use this button. But after restarting "Forte", all the old plugins are there again. Does this also happen on other installations or only on my one? Let's find out if it is a feature or a bug :-)

Plugin-Manager shows plugins under "ignored files" which don't exist anymore or have a different path than vst folder

Hey there, my plugin-manager show plugins under "Ignored Files" which don't exist anymore or which are saved at another place on the computer. They are elsewhere and not in my standard-vst-folder. Is it normal that Forte seems to scan the whole computer for plugins, although I only specifi...

Re: Forte crashes when adding "Novation Bass Station"

Hi Angel, and thanks for your answer! Indeed, using the stereo-version, the problem is solved. I just wonder why some plugins work perfectly and others "kill" Forte shortly after they were loaded or make the rack extremely unstable. I am not a programmer, but - just for general understandi...

Forte crashes when adding "Novation Bass Station"

Although I remember to got this working two weeks ago, Forte currently crashes when adding the "Novation Bass Station 2.1" in a rack. I have the latest "Forte" installed and use the x64-version of the plugin. The plugin itself exists in two versions: one "normal" versio...

Re: Insert (Brickwall Limiter) only works when routed to Stereo-Output

This is indeed an interesting question. Looking at the meters of my Firewire-Interface while sending audio to a stereo-output, I can see that a lot of plugins send stereo-signals (meters of left and right channel differ). Is it really a fact that Forte simply takes only one of the two signals of a s...

Insert (Brickwall Limiter) only works when routed to Stereo-Output

Hi there, I recently added a Brickwall Limiter (W1-Limiter) to my Master-Audio-Bus in "Forte". This should prevent signals to be louder than 0 dB and produce the terrible digital "crackling". So far so good. When the Master-Audio-Bus in "Forte" is routed to an output-pa...

Re: Don't understand one of the "Scene Commands" in "Forte"

Thanks for your answer, MikeG! I think I understood the explanation, but still I couldn't find a difference. I mean: in both versions, the plugin-parameters "jump" to what was saved last in a scene. Moreover, if I change another parameter - any parameter - during a scene without saving it,...

Don't understand one of the "Scene Commands" in "Forte"

Re: All the "Automap" users: Please help me to get it working in "Forte"

Update: Automap fully works (now) with

- Cubase 8 Pro
- Cantabile
- free VST host
- LiveProfessor

I even installed the beta of the new Forte now. No changes. All the programs where I don't need Automap work. But exactly the one where I need it doesn't. Life is unfair sometimes :-)

Wow, this information was so important. This means I can delete the 2x2 MIDI-Interface from my shopping list. Connection via USB ... okay. I hope that the energy-needs of the controller don't crash the mainboard of my laptop :-) So, decision made: I will check out the Novation-controllers tomorrow (...

Re: Great confusion about Forte and Automap

Looks as if the market for such "vst-shells" isn't that large. The Akai thing looks interesting, but with 2 controllers connected to the setup, integration would be difficult. The Automap-thing with its "VST-core" seems to be more flexible. What is your opinion about the Novation...

Re: Great confusion about Forte and Automap

Thank you so much for your answer. I totally (*g*) understood your reply, showing that my "fears" are somewhat true (except for the Bluecat thing, which would solve the problem, though having two middle-men in this setup between vst and controller). This leads to one single question. I som...

Great confusion about Forte and Automap

Hello, I am planning to buy the controller "Novation Remote 61 SL MKII" tomorrow and have therefore some questions. I have read several threads about what Automap can or can't do. Before spending a lot of money on the controller, some clarification would be nice. Automap seems to be the on...

Hello everybody, as you can see in my profile, I am a new user here. Though I have got a private studio for 4 years now, I am completely new in the field of playing vst-instruments live. Recognizing that "Forte 4 Performer" gives me a lot of opportunities for my plans, I have been working ...
