Bug report
Hi Mike, Not sure where you want this posted, so here it is: Forte 4.5.0 64-bit (running on Windows 10) is clearing all instruments (pianos, clavs, organs, etc.) out of the Kontakt 5 instrument rack, when performing a re-order of the instruments of the rack file, from the rack editor page. Set plugin knobs to linear?
Hi, Does anyone know if it's possible to have Forte set Vsti's knobs to LINEAR control (instead of circular). It's just a major pain to work with some plugins that don't offer the option to set knobs to linear. I've read that some hosts offer the setting to force all knobs to be linear. I checked al...

Does a "Save As" also trim the rack at the same time?
Just a question for Mike.
Does doing a "Save As" also perform a "Trim Rack" at the same time (as long as it's rewriting the file anyway)?
I've wondered about this for a while now.
Thanks,
Mr B.

Hi, I'm having a problem with the Arturia Prophet-V2 plugin that the Device Compatibility file doesn't seem to fix. When I switch to the scene, all notes hold as if the "HOLD" button is on. I can get it to stop by cycling the "HOLD" button on the VST (on/off), but the next time I...

Forte Plugin Manager has a tab called "VST Scan Folders" where you define the path for Forte to find your plugins. You'll want to check that screen and remove any search paths that you no longer want Plugin Manager to use before you rescan.
Hope this helps,

Me too. All fine. What I do: I have programmed a switching of MIDI channels of the note-on messages by a MIDI controller in Bome MT. Important thing is not to switch but always duplicate note-off messages to avoid hanging notes. Thus, I can switch sounds in Forte easily by pressing a controller swi...

Does anyone know if there is a way to replace an instrument with a different instrument?
Also, how to use an existing instrument to replace a proxy?

Thanks for any info or suggestions.

My observation is that when an instrument bus is un-muted (for the first time ONLY after a rack file is opened) or Forte loads a rack to it's first scene, Forte "talks" to that plugin and somehow adjusts/re-adjusts parameter settings. That "message" sent by Forte and recieved by ...
