Re: Transfer to new laptop - The right way?

Make sure to install the same versions of your plugins.

i tend not to upgrade the plugins if everything is running smoothly.

Re: OT: NUC or laptop?

hi Furillo, how much do you want to spend? i'd go for a laptop. pro: all in one package, you can start working without assembling the computer all the time. (no need to carry single parts like computer, screen, mouse, keyboard with you) as far as i have seen - 2-in-1 laptops don't have very powerful...

Re: Forte 4 Constantly Crashing

Hi Mike,
i finally managed to get a stable set.
Retrologue 2 was the plugin that crashes. it took me a while as Retrologue has always been a super stable plugin.
i downgraded to Retrologue (1) and everything is fine again.

Re: Forte 4 Constantly Crashing

hi mike, yes, i know! but all stresstesting with new racks that were build in 4.1.9 are going well. right now i'm testing a full top40-setup with 2x kontakt, halionsonic, 2x retrologue, op-x pro II, aux bus & waves trueverb. no crashes after several stress test. the same rack (with the same plug...

Re: Velcity layers

hi peter, until this feature is implemented you can setup velocity layers in halionsonic. doing all the midi-routing inside halionsonic also has the advantage of a faster workflow as you are doing everything in one window. with "workstation-plugins" (like halionsonic, sampletank and so on)...

Re: Forte 4 Constantly Crashing

i did a lot of testing and it seems like the problem only occurs with racks that were built with forte 4.1.7 here is what i did: after mike posted to download the latest build, i upgraded but the crashes were not gone. so i did testracks with single plugins to see if i could narrow down the problem ...

Re: Forte 4 Constantly Crashing

hi mike, forte 4 is also constantly crashing here. installing the 4.1 build 9.25 didn't solve the problem. excluding all plugins except for freeg and the vst-instruments didn't help as well - the rack still crashes. my setup: forte 4.1 build 9.25, 64bit lenovo t440p, i7-4710MQ, 16gb ram win 10 pro 6...

Re: Guitar Rig 5 loud noise

I have had the same problem with GR 5. Loud noise bursts every once in a while. there wasn't a special setup or event that triggered that burst, it just happened. the loud noise never occured when working with cubase. my solution: GR 5 is not in my rack anymore. i switched to amplitube custom shop. ...

Re: Newbie here with questions.

you don't need to do anything.
just plug your midi-controller into your computer, wait a few seconds in case windows has to install a driver.
open forte > load an instrument.
your midi-controller will show up in the "MIDI-Routing"-Tab.

Re: Audio interface recommendation

Go for RME!
at first they are not cheap but it pays of on the long run. they are releasing new drivers even for very old interfaces. last year they released new drivers for my almost 15 year old Hammerfall-PCI soundcard.

Re: Starting a Facebook Forte presence

Hi Mike,
Google+ is another option.
Not much traffic there yet, but since everybody uses Google it might be a good idea to use their social network as well. As far as i understood, companyaccounts on Google+ are also taken into account in google searches.

best
