do you guys have graphic issues, too? i have a lenovo yoga 2 13" (hybrid laptop with touch) and the main rack view window has a lot of unused grey space. VSTs sometimes do not fit in instrument windows. maybe it is a scaling issue, but i cannot go smaller, kontakt is already extremely small... ...

also, with Forte 3, in the scene manager, you can configure kontakt to load new sounds in certain scenes only. it's like the "don't load" option but you can configure certain "sound changer" scenes that take longer to load.

no! you need a third party midi plugin for this and use the VMI. or, if you never need it, you can just use MIDI OX to filter it out before forte.

i actually use the midi solutions quadra merge with my rme midi input. i didn'T like windows to rename or re-sort my usb midi hardware, that's why i only use one reliable midi port and the merger.

seems to me that rather the expression pedal inputs on the m-audios keyboards are the problem? maybe not compatible with yamaha pedals? i have two FC7, both work absolutely great for me with three different controllers (kawai mp9500, roland a50, doepfer lmk 2+) and also more precisely than my FCB1010.

as dirk said, but keep in mind that the 8r USB interface may not be the lowest-latency interface in the world. if it works OK for you great - if you feel a lag e.g. on the hihat you might want to check out RME stuff for live drum works, e.g. babyface.

it also happens if you have some accidental midi connection e.g. on multiple channels at once or an additional connection via a virtual port. it would be ideal if forte did not accept a tempo such as 23.234 bpm. but then you can't use your drum machine as an oscillator anymore (-:
