I do this as well....

Just change the CC the button is sending to the same one the switch is sending (or vice versa) in the MIDI settings of your controller.

Re: Hardware Profiles for Producer Edition only?

One option for the different MIDI controller thing is to use an intermediate layer using MIDI-OX or Bome Translator and virtual MIDI ports. The physical USB ports connect to MIDI-OX/Bome which in turn route the MIDI to virtual ports. Those ports act as the input to forte. So no matter what (or if) M...

Crashes and volume reduction due to NI VC 2A (?)

I had some trouble working on a rack yesterday. Crashes and inexplicable reduction in output volume. Sent in a bunch of crash reports. Re: Transfer to new laptop - The right way?

I don't think file paths for the VSTs are important. You just let forte (re)discover them and it will use them from their new location. The important files to transfer would be the rack files and the options.ini file, I think. If you use forte's built-in preset saving functions, I think you would ne...

That's because Automap doesn't send CC messages through forte. The communication with the Automapped plugin happens completely outside of the host through a server of sorts. Using HUI you can only control the "Control Surface" functions of forte (like start/stop, next/previous scene etc), not functions of the plugins themselves.

For that you need to use Automap wrapped versions of the plugins or go the BlueCat Remote+VMI route. Or are you doing that already?

Probably the left signal alone isn't loud enough to trigger the limiter.

You could try inserting a mono maker plugin before the limiter.

Anytime I have had problems like that in the past, it's been due to the audio interface drivers not releasing the audio/MIDI ports.
If taht's the case, unplugging and re-plugging your audio interface would let you end the process (or it will end by itself).
