Re: Korg UK have just accused me of being un-professional!

If I had to choose between a Mac and a PC for live performance, I would choose the PC without a doubt. More software available, better upgrade possibilities, better cost/performance ratio. I am still using an Asus F3 series ( it must be almost 8 years old ) on stage, which I have upgraded over time ...

It can affect any laptop, it won't matter if it's low or high end.

You can check which IRQ's are being used going to Start Menu->Programs->Accessories->System Tools->System Information.

Re: Audio meter spiking continuously and modules sound horrible

Hum, try ticking the "use prefered buffer size" option in Forte ( please note that I don't know if SoundMax drivers suffer from the same problem than the Realtek ones, but if it works well in FL studio, they're probably OK ). As for USB soundcard latency, it will depend of the card / machi...

Is your onboard soundcard from Realtek? If yes, that's the problem, and the only solution is getting an external soundcard.

Hi. In my humble opinion: 1) For mostly one instrument at a time, it should do fine. 2) Something from M-Audio comes to my mind. I think their drivers are pretty good. 3) First of all, check that your laptop isn't sharing any IRQ in the usb hubs ( acessories->system tools->system information ). If i...

Forte doesn't support more than 2 outputs per instrument, but you can use energyXT or Bidule inside Forte and make more complex setups inside those.

Re: audio to midi - sax player to strings

The problem is that "midified" drum triggers don't take into account the pitch, they simply translate the pressure into a value between 0 and 127. With melodic instruments, the pitch also has to be considered, which is much more difficult to translate reliabily. Afaik there's currently no ...

Re: Help needed with Midifx plugin

Hi!

You need to set it up as a VMI in Forte.

Then do the routing like this: your controller->cc64 ( enable VMI in it), then go to PlastiCZ and in the midi input section disable your controller's port and enable CC64's VMI.
